(Megahouse) One Piece POP figures

Postby H-Gurl » February 6th, 2007, 8:58 am

Most of the regulars here know that Megahouse figures are released with a sticker, but here are some newly posted fakes, for those who may not:

POP Bellamy fake (via gundamit on ebay):

POP Smoker fake (via gundamit on ebay):

He looks too cool, so I hope I can find an authentic of him someplace :D

His use of a ruler really pisses me off. Notice how he always puts a ruler next to his boxes, but he'll never put one next to his figures. Even when he has separate pictures of the actual figure outside the box, he'll never use the ruler.

I never realized until you guys told me that bootlegs are usually smaller or incorrect.

Well, I don't have a ruler beside these, but the box is there, so Nami is safe to assume she's the right one?

As you can see, the box has the sticker there in the left corner (of the box)

This was the re-release bought through HLJ near the end of last year, so it's definitely the real one.

Well I meant it in the case of gundamit since H-gurl was pointing out a gundamit figurine. Only for specific figures I've seen (shirow) figures where he employed a ruler to say, hey this is how big the box is, when in actuality the box is right, but the figure (Motoko Kusanagi) was about an inch too short.

Yes, those rulers are annoying :jiro:

Yeah, in typical bootlegs, the figures are smaller than the original, due to poor recasting.
When Val and I did some extensive research on the Chara-Ani Miharu fake, we found that not only was the casting smaller, but her weight in grams was totally different than the authentic (not lighter, but much heavier due to cheap thick paint).

Good.

But do you like the Nami I gave you here? She's the authentic, so look for that to be sure.
