Pixiv Girls Collection - Reads left to right?

I got Pixiv Girls Collection a little while ago from akadot and it is by far one of my favorite art books now, but, I'm really curious as to why it is read from left to right instead of right to left like with all my other art books. Not that I really care, it just seems odd that it's "backwards".

Out of pure curiosity, does anyone know why they chose to do that?

what exactly is pixiv? from what i can gather (based on my poor google translation skills) it seems like a collection of fan art? which book did you get as i saw two different ones available

There's only one Pixiv Girl's Collection...the other ones are called something differnt. Anyway, Pixiv is a site with a lot of community art (someone else here can probably tell you a lot more about the site). This is just an art book with a lot of better pictures presented on that site. Either way, it's an awesome art book and lots of variety, but I liked every picture in it.

I know there are a few others on zerotype who bought it...

EDIT2: Maybe one reason they decide to do the book "reversed" was because of a lot of the pictures coming from all over the world? I know I stumbled upon someone's deviant art page where he was talking about how his picture got in the book (and the picture is freely available online, its not exclusive to the book).

I think LTR format is just the publishers choice. I know of other japanese art books printed in that format.

pixiv is the japanese version of deviantart (but there are also non-japanese artists in there). Lots of famous well known artists are there btw, not just amateur artists.

BTW I heard of some Japanese artists that got banned on deviantart so it kinda make sense for their own community.
