I have a question

Postby dj-adrian » February 28th, 2010, 6:03 pm

I have a question: water or moisture can damage the figures? I refer to painting and in general. The other day I spilled water without intention on one of my figures and I forgot to dry.

My friend split soda on his fakes, he went over it with water and wiped it down and nothing happened. I'm thinking if even a fake figure can be "washed", then the real thing should be the same...?
Are they wet spots when it dried up on the figure?

I would imagine any half decent paint is going to bond such that small amounts of water will not screw with the finish. Now if you were to immerse the stuff in water, that would be another story.
Plastic... cool, sterile, and oh so pretty!

Sunlight, more specifically UV, and heat are the major concerns. Chemical reactions and all.

PVC is water resistant and the paint, which I assume is acrylic based, is too.

So yeah you can wash your figures. It'sss Aww-righttt! ;-)

Water wouldn't affect the PVC figures.
unless you are soaking them in hot water ofcourse.
