Ah, perfect time for this thread to be revived. Just started listening to The Band Apart. I'm not big into J-rock, but all the songs have english [engrish] lyrics with jazzy influence. I do recommend you give it a listen:

Oh yea, this was the entertaining Mario DS commercial which I just realize was shot in Hong Kong from the youtube description and a closer look at the streets and the train that they shot:

One of the commentators of the video claims it was not filmed in Hong Kong, but actually Japan and that it is actually a commercial for the Nintendo DS. However, I have no way of proving this easily, but someone here can probably recognize the scenery and verify.

Let's see, I've been listening to the Eureka Seven Best of cd, Samurai Champloo cd 4, Gits SSS, and Lucky Star opening cd on my shuffle at work. (I also have Black Lab, Gorillas, No Doubt, the Hives, and Foxboro Hot Tubs (aka Green Day), Move, and Orange Range on my shuffle.) I listen to music pretty much my entire day at work, otherwise I'm pretty certain I would go insane. There's only so much human tragedy and stupidity I can stomach reading about before I need something to distract my mind from it.

I'll be changing it for this upcoming week since I got two new Black Lab cds in the mail.
