Any shojou fans?

Postby MrDisco » June 16th, 2006, 9:33 pm

So after finishing Ichigo 100% I've been on a shojou kick. Currently I'm reading:

Pastel
Open Seseame
Parfait Tic
Suzuka
Oh My Goddess
I''s

I've already read old stand-bys like Love Hina, Maison Ikkoku, VGAi, Full Moon o Sagashite, etc. Now before the purists crucify me, yes some of these titles probably don't fit the definition but I'm interested in any story which has a romantic aspect to the story. Something about that heartbreaking angst that just appeals to me ;)

Anyone else have their favourites?

The only shoujo story I´m reading right now is Chokotto Sister, the art is totally amazing and it´s a nice story but has a weird beginning, if interested do a Google search and you´ll probably find it, the manga isn´s licensed yet so it´s going to be easy to find. Also the anime series will start airing by mid or end of July http://www.chocosis.com

Am a huge fan of shoujo manga :)
My all time favourite would have to be Chiho Saito in terms of manga-ka, and I know that more and more shoujoesque titles are being translated and released (isn't there a Harlequin type manga coming out?)
