Still alive ;)

Postby Firestorm ZERO » March 30th, 2009, 1:12 am

Hey guys. Haven't been active this whole month but been lurking to make sure nothing breaks :). Got a lot of catching up to do and pile of stuff I haven't even opened! Mainly been busy due to work. I work at a sports network and trade deadline and march madness are our biggest peaks in the year.

I'll slowly post stuff whenever I get a chance :D

I can understand that. March was better for me than february. To sum that month up, it started with layoffs of four people who did a large amount of the moral boosting work in my job to a friend having her moron husband abandon her for a teenager in maine. The ass did it by texting her. It ended with my last maternal grandparent dieing. It wasn't a fun month.

Oh wow, Susano that doesn't sound great at all :(
If it's any consolation, I find out tomorrow whether or not my job really has been made redundant or not.

I really hope not. Hopefully, things will pull through for you. :)

I think I pretty much lost track of that month. But the worst part of it was going through my Grandpa's home with my parents. It was just down right filthy inside and so much of the house had been damaged by water over the years, I was amazed it hadn't collapsed. I'm hoping my family will be able to fix a couple of the cars he had in his barn though. One of them he always called his courting car; it was the one he drove when he started dating my Grandma. The neatest thing I've seen otherwise were two photo journals my Great Uncle put together from his years in the Army during WWII. He dated and described everything from his travels in China and Europe. He also had letters he wrote to my Grandma in it.

They didn't job is definitely gone, which is funny cause I am soon going to be rolling in money because of it XD
Redundancy payouts rule.

Sounds like your grandfather lived a full and rich life :)
I think sometimes it's better to remember loved ones at their best, then remember the worst. Good memories are always easier.
Make sure you keep those photo journals!

Ugg, that sucks that they did the lay offs. At least you're getting a decent severance payment, and I hope you have luck in finding new employment. :yoshi:
