Nice tribute to the man!
One thing I love about Shirow aside from his sexy art is his love for Powered Armors(Land Mates) and his fascination towards Bullpup styled firearms!

Truly still one of the most innovative artist and a legend, thanks for the sweet reminder for his stuff he has done. Oh yeah, Tachikomas are win too!

Thanks. Indeed, Shirow's Armored Suits (Mecha) are awesome. Not to talk about his girls too ;)

lol I'm surprised that my brother does have anymore Shirow related figures, he has the Intron Depot Poilice and the Ballistics character. I keep forgetting the first version of Galhound...
I'm sure Shirow had a huge impact on me as well, GiTs was possibly my second or third badass series I've first watched when I was really young. :)

First learned of Shirow through the GITS PSX game. Then watched the Mamoru Oshii Film and then read the manga. Suffice to say of all his works GITS had the most impact on me. It was the first more sophisticated anime/manga that I got into all those years ago.

I would say he's not so innovative these days. Not that that is a bad thing, given the length of time he has been in the business. He's done his time in my book and has definitely earned the right to be given a little slack. ;)
