Microsoft strikes back against the evil Botnet

Guess a first strike against the evil botnet overlords, who turn our computers into zombies to issue spam and DDOS attacks.

I have heard, whether it is true or not, that most antivirus software is ineffective against botnet infection, and that the
botnet overlords take active measures against those that try to make their infections fail.

I find it interesting to read articles about botnets, since it is not talked about much in the media, and I think many people
do not know the full scale of the botnets reach and how lucrative a criminal enterprise it is.
