I'm sure the entire community is aware of the events occurring in Japan over the last 2 days. I'm hoping we can all give what we can to assist in the humanitarian relief effort. For Canadians you can donate to the Redcross:

I was really saddened seeing such a tragedy happening in Japan. :(

The various videos of the tsunami are truly frightening. They show quite clearly that our cities can be just washed away like nothing. Especially that video showing people running up the hill, while the town is quite literally racing up the hill side after them.

Wow. Only noticed this thread now...

I feel for Japan especially as my own country has gone through a similar situation. The sheer scale of what has happened in Japan doesn't really compare though.
