How to take care of your figmas/nendoroids?

Hello everyone,

I have been searching about ways to take care of my figures (in my case figmas and nendoroids), and I got these 03 guides:

I got no idea that I had to put my figures in the freezer during hot seasons =0

Anyway, what I don't understand is: can I clean my figures using water and soap? Because one guide tells me: "Do not clean your figure with chemical liquid. No warm water as well. If possible avoid water." while the other one says: "I wash all my stuff by soaking them in mild soap solution for a few minutes and then letting them dry in the open.".

Can someone clear me this out? Or even give me more tips.

Honestly, I think unless you're doing really strange things to your figures, you keep them in an area that will reduce dust, and call it a day. If you get dust on them, dust them off once in a while, because too much dust in the joints can cause them to seize, or act as a grinding material when you move the joints, eventually causing the joints to lose the friction needed to things in place.

Not sure about any the guides you posted, but for the most part, a splash of water and soap should hurt, so long as you aren't submerging them for a long period of time.

Well, I keep them inside a display, but every 2 weeks I clean it and I find a bunch of dust inside. But the point is, I really don't see any dust on my figures, which I think is weird, because they should have some.

So, what you say is that I shouldn't put them in the water with soap but use something like compressed air for cleaning?

Stick it in the freezer?! Seems way overboard unless you were tempering the plastic to fix a fault.

The simplest way to keep things clean is just to use a small soft brush to gently clean every now and then.

Paintbrushes (chisel type etc) work a treat too. Just nothing with too harsh bristles.
