DiStudios Figure collection

Postby DiStudios » July 11th, 2008, 2:57 pm

Hi guys,

These new Shining Wind figures really inspired me to take a few pictures. They are only basic and any help and C&C is always appreciated. But mainly I was just looking to show some of my favourite figures that I have purchased recently.

Thanks all for looking and thanks in advance for any advice :)

Nice pics! Took a look at your blog and you've got some nics figs in your collection.
I really envy your Elfen Lied Nyu figure, I really regret preordering her since it's so expensive on ebay now =(

Nice pictures. You have a nice starting collection with notable and/or rare figures. Your Elfen Lied is the creme de la creme of the pack. Makes me want one :}

Many thanks for the kind comments :)

I have to admit I was very lucky to get the Elfen Lied figures, like many I had missed the pre-order deadline for them and as a result spent time and money trying to aquire them. I do have the set including Nana, but I have yet to take the photos. A lot of my older pictures are in the process of being re-shot as i was not very happy with the over all look of them (I had been doing the shoots indoors).

Here are my latest photos:

Ty for the kind comments,

I have to admit I am a late comer to the Shining Wind range and picked up both Seena and Kureha as a spur of the moment purchase from my local Manga store. I was so impressed by these two figures and as a result have started to track down (for a reasonable prices) the Max Factory version. Luckily I have already pre-ordered the upcoming Sept Sw figures so I can spend a little more time trying to hunt down the others I am missing from this set.

Doesn't that always suck. Being new to the scene and buying one because you wanted it. Then, you start googling pvc/figures, other figs from the series, manufacturers, sculptors and it all leads into a downward spiral of sorts.

Which ones are you tracking down? Are you going for the Kotobukiya ones? or Beagle/President Japan?

The President Japan figs are expensive but highly detailed. At times, the figs don't come out as well and they add doll eyes to it. Heh, I need to get Koto Kureha. The MF one is very very beautiful.
