So, what's in store for the bootleg? How is it different than the original one?

Just like figures, fake art books lose detail.

Fake books are scanned art books which are then reprinted in volume. At times, they're missing pages or they actually have more pages than the original

Colors will be slightly washed out. Skin tone is lost. Highlights are lost. etc. Print quality is typically blurry. Matte pages with highly detailed art, like Terada's Busin book, were scanned and printed with deep contrast on glossy paper. The book was also the wrong size. You're basically investing in a copy of low quality which normally costs the same, if not more than the real thing.

This book is only 2000 yen in Japan. That's $16.70. If a store stocks this book, then it means they have no real connections to companies in Japan because the book is available on the market..

I only know of one seller on eBay from Hong Kong/China who is not selling fake art books.

Oh, I thought you'd seen this in person, or had someone who had bought a fake.

So this is just a warning to everyone...OK! ^^

The linked site is a wholesaler of bootleg figures, books, plushies, etc. I am sure we will see this book pop up on eBay and a lot of shops soon.

This bootleg looks like it's hardcover, but the original is softcover with a dust jacket.
