Hyung Tae Kim Bootlegs Bring Down the Market

Postby val » January 31st, 2007, 4:25 am

It's a sad thing when the only HTK selling on eBay are the bootlegs. These HK sellers are not only hurting sellers of legitimate items but they bring down the value of your collections. HTK art books are worth $9.99 brand new now... that's sad.

Even the book sold for $19.99 was fake but local!

Oh wow. Now that is just sad. HTK really does not deserve that to happen to his art books. I'll have to make sure to pick up a copy of Magna Carta now- I saw one at a local game store. At least then some of the money would go to him (even if it's only a fraction.)

I'm a little relieved that I got a legit HTK book, when I had the chance. Of course, I had to go through some amusing and unusual hoops to get it, but I got it just the same.

The last time I bought an artbook off of eBay was 2001? Yeah. It was 2001. And it was for a used copy of Patlabor 2 Methods. I can't recall how many bootlegs books there were around then on eBay. But I'm absolutely sure it wasn't anywhere near the number it is today.
