Comiket 75 Shopping lists!

Postby nat » January 8th, 2009, 7:46 pm

Hahaha, actually, this is more asking than telling. I don't really follow the doujinshi markets, but there are definitely more full color books being produced than there used to be so I'm interested in getting into it.

A few things I've spotted that I'm interested in getting are:

CONCEPT Type-moon Illustrations
http://www.typemoon.com/event/c75/index.htm
It's 130 pages and full color, with illustrations from Fate Stay Night, Kara no Kyoukai, and Melty Blood.

Fate/Zero Tribute Arts
http://www.toranoana.jp/info/etc/081202_fatezero/
It's 128 pages of different artists drawing the Fate/Zero characters.

Gururi 9
http://yuuri.happy.nu/
I bought the summer one, and really liked it so I figure I'll get another. 20 pages color, 28 pages black and white. And the monochrome is most likely sketches of the color pictures, like it was in the last one.

Color Defragmentation
http://www.milky.ne.jp/~fantasia/
Ryo Ueda has a new full color compilation collection, and if you buy the set (w/Vesperia fan book) you get the calendar too. And the sets are on Y!J so >:D

For more stuff (though not ones I'm getting ^^;) check out Pireze's list: http://www.pireze.org/blog/?p=6761

Anyhow, those are the main things, and everything else I get will likely just be to pad my orders.

Heh, yah took the words right from me. I know there's at least one store that takes orders, but I don't recall what the store's name was. I'd like to avoid E-bay if at all possible.

For the Queen's Blade stuff, I used a deputy service to order directly from the Hobby Japan Shop.

For the doujinshi I am thinking on, currently looking in Y!JP. However "sometimes" comiketservice will have it (I'm guessing depends on if they had left over stock). But they usually update after the end of each month. So I have wait till February if they even *do* get it :S

Tsukasa Bullet had a calendar.

calendar2009.jpg

Range Murata had a doujinshi called "All the Way Home". And advertised an upcoming art book on April which looks like a compilation of previous works.

Another awesome one I'm trying to get is INSIDE by Redjuice Graphics, it's 40 pages and full color.
http://redjuicegraphics.com/images/c75_poster.jpg
He does a lot of Hatsune Miku pictures, along with other real stylish tech-y scenes. It reminds me very much of Ugetsu Hakua's style, with more edge.

Also 159 by Takeshi Okazaki (http://www.h3.dion.ne.jp/~hapoi/index-d.html). It came with a tenth anniversary extra clear file of Rei very beautifully drawn. The 159 doujin itself is full color with 37 illustrations, though I don't know how many pages. Either way, DO WANT. :3

Wow! I'll have to keep an eye on this one.
(is the artist a white guy? lol)

Also 159 by Takeshi Okazaki

nice!

edit: can't find either book :(

The redjuicegraphics doujin is on Toranoana and on eBay at the moment. Ebay auction prices aren't as terrible as most people make out, when you consider what you'd pay via deputy services. If you deputy buy it via Toranoana, I'd recommend you pack on more things, as it evens out the expense. The Takeshi Okazaki one comes and goes on Y!J but I managed to snag a buy it now copy with the clear file. I just recommend patience when looking for what you want, because a lot of the books I ended up buying weren't there at first, or sold out, and then came back on in a small number. I'll post more buys tomorrow, getting sleepy :3

Generally speaking, if I didn't post the kanji for something, it's because you can search it however I wrote it (in English or romanized Japanese) or you can copy paste it from the link provided.

Esterllita by Shiranagi Masa (白凪マサ)
http://siranagi.sakura.ne.jp/
It's full color, 16 pages and well drawn. It's a maybe though, because 16 pages makes everything a maybe for me.

恋♥ホワイトブレンド by Koge Donbo (こげどんぼ*)
http://blog-imgs-30.fc2.com/k/o/k/kokol ... 231002.jpg
It's full color, 20 pages. The Comiket 75 release came with a calendar, which she has pictured in part on her blog: http://kokolog.blog40.fc2.com/.

GRAND GLADIATOR testament - Design Works 03 by Pocky Factory (小林ちさと & 不破和也)
http://www.pockyfactory.com/C75.htm
26 pages, full color. Seems interesting enough. I'd get it, but just to pad my order.

Dress Nipples by OKAMA
http://www.toranoana.jp/mailorder/artic ... 67211.html
16 pages, full color. It's definitely an amusing idea. Question, is the picture less offensive if her nipples are dressed? I mean, pasties seem to be an acceptable cover up and tiny bikinis are okay after all...

昨日の記憶、今の記憶 by しろ (Siro)
http://longlongtime.org/illusit/r308.jpg
22 pages, color. Siro's stuff tends to look the same, and this isn't really an exception.

Funny as they ask a similar question here ^^
