- Tony's Artworks (US Cover)
UDON's next release of art books from Japan, Tony's Artworks which contains art from the Shining game series he has done. UDON is releasing a bunch of art books if you haven't noticed. Coming up are Atelier, Valkyria Chronicles, Ar Tonelico, etc.
I have the Japanese version of this book as well. But I don't have it with me right now (it is in my pile of stuff ;_;) so I am basing everything from memory.
The one change for sure is the cover. The Japanese came with a cardboard slip cover, the US one does not. Also the US version has the feathers on the cover with white felt. I guess a nice touch to lose out on the slipcover. Reflective cover text and glossy (don't know what to call it) of the swirls.
The artwork at quick glance is exactly the same as Japanese. The quality is top notch. Colour, paper and binder are all good. Art is full page with a white border with character portraits at the end. Interview is just 4 pages (in English) and 3 page on how he colours his art.
Great book to buy and much cheaper if you haven't got it yet from Japan. It is about 200 pages of art!
