This is the artist:
http://www.fujitsubo-machine.jp/%7Ebenja/

He's releasing an A4/104 pg art book in case, includes sketch, line art, etc. of his work w/Shana. Art book is a Comiket only doujinshi to be sold at C70 on 8/13. A limited number will also include a free mini book that he made for C69 but for some reason it wasn't ready in time for C69 so he's throwing it in w/the sketch book. He doesn't state pricing, so I have no idea what to expect for cost.

ADDED:
Ito Noizi's circle, fujitsubo-machine, will also release 2 B5 compilation doujinshi. The titles are fujitsubo-machine BLUE (not X-rated) and fujitsubo-machine RED (X-rated). The FR will include Ito Noizi's prior hentai doujinshi such as Celluloid, Fs Works, Orange Milk, etc. Both books will not be sold at the Comiket, but instead are being released at the Comiket in Toranoana's stores. His doujinshi sells for $20-35 in Japan, so the compilation will be an awesome deal if anyone wants his doujinshi. I like his art but his doujinshi don't normally look "loli" like the covers of FR and FB.

Anyways, this is his circle: http://www.fujitsubo-machine.jp/

Professional studios, major stores, publishers/producers, etc. also attend the Comiket, and release limited items like Wani is doing with the 3 books previously discussed.

On this page:
http://www.galge.com/galge/nomember/sbp ... index.html

If you scroll down, you'll find a map of the hanger & tables, but under that you will find links to the various studios and companies. If you click the link, a page comes up, and it will tell you what the company is offering at C70. Looking at Wani's list, they will also sell some goods & a newly designed Postman Bag for Range Murata. Comic Gum with have signed copies of manga. Gonzo will have a ton of Samurai 7 goods, Pinky Anime DVD w/gift, etc. Take a look because you can often get limited items cheap at the company booths. You can also frequently find production books, storyboards, etc. sold by some studios. For example, we bought concept works from Nitro+ last time. Most of the items sell out fast and a lot end up on Yahoo at inflated prices. Many are never offered again.

Guessing this a new Shana book and not a reprint of the older Shana book since the logo has 2 slashes?

He doesn't have a picture of the book up, but did he release one in the past as a doujinshi? If so, I didn't know that. It does say that there are works, like line art, that are not in the professionally published art book by MediaWorks. It doesn't say much more though.. It's sounds like a sketch book w/rough works & line art, so something a designer would enjoy.

Actually, Steve agrees with you, and said that logo may be on the cover & the lines represent part II. However, it sounds like new work that he's putting out as a doujinshi.

val wrote:How about Level-X? That's your fav illustrator MR.D but his doujinshi tend to be sketch/design books.

i'll have to claim ignorance on this one. i'm not sure who level-x is.

Murata will most likely release a new PSE doujinshi or doujin item but we won't know until the event. He likes to keep everyone in suspense.

i'm in for this naturally.

Also, Comitia is this month too, as well as WonderFest (Mr.D did you see the WonderFest Showcase of Rei & Asuka for this upcoming WF Summer 2006? Mine Yoshizaki was part of the design team. It's really, really cute. Price is 2500 yen.)

No I haven't heard about Rei & Asuka. Please tell me more.

Yellow Tag will likely release at the end of this month at Comitia.

i'm in for this too if he releases something.

Level-X is Ken Akamatsu, illustrator of Love Hina, etc.

I will definitely buy from Murata, so I'll definitely have one for you. We may be able to get him to sign futurecode and/or whatever he has for sale at the PSE table. I'd probably charge $20 on top of our asking price for an unsigned copy. He does limit us each time, and the demand always exceeds the number available, so if you'd like either (assuming there is a doujinshi) signed, let me know in advance.

Anyone familiar with Kiran? http://kiran.futsuu.com/
His art is amazing but I can't place it... I've seen his work but where.. ? He will have a doujinshi called Kiran Materials for sale at the circle, Little Hamlet's table. It's apparently an older doujinshi, so not a new release, but even so, I'm going to try to get copies if I can find Little Hamlet.

Any interest in Type-Moon:
Comiket 70 - Goods & Character Material book:
http://www.typemoon.com/main.html
The Pink & Blue Beach Bags are so cute!! Each includes a sports towel, beach sandals, beach ball, & vinyl bag. His & her sets too! Price isn't too bad too at 3500 yen per set. Character book is reasonable too but I can't say the same for the poster set (10 BIG (55×76cm) Posters + HUGE tote bag for posters). Apparently, each illustration has never been made into a poster in the past, so that justifies the price. It's 8000 yen! 10 big posters. You could literally wallpaper your entire room w/TypeMoon art.

Wonder Festival Showcase Figure:
http://www.kaiyodo.net/wf/06sum/drink.htm
2500 yen at the event for both as a set; Will not be sold in stores in Japan.

oh ken! Yeah I love Ken's artwork (well not his early work but stuff from Love Hina and newer). i'm not sure on sketch work though..I dont have any of his doujins to make an informed purchasing decision.

I'll take a signed one.

You're right, his art is amazing. If you see something worth collecting (i.e. color artwork vs rough sketches) i'm interested.

I must have this set.
