Origin: Spirits of the Past

"Origin: Spirits of the Past" or "Gin-iro no Kami no Agito" was a surprise show for me. The trailer for it kind of got me interested. Interested enough to plop the money down for it sight unseen.

Obsession = Wide eyed forest girls. She didn't get much screen time, but I am lost in her eyes and imprisoned by her voice. Don't even know her name, perhaps she doesn't have one.

Recommend this movie. Supposedly they spent 7 years on it. It has a unique twist on the destruction of humanity.

The opening theme is by Kokia, "Chouwa oto -with reflection-", a fascinating and enjoyable theme, if not a bit meloncholy.

Watch this movie, but beware of the wide eyed forest girl, she will enchant you, and you will not care a whit about the primary characters, you will only have eyes for her, and you will watch carefully for her other appearances, but watch carefully or you might miss her.
